Basem Ra’ad is professor of English and Cultural Studies at al-Quds University in Jerusalem. He was born in Jerusalem and has worked and taught in Bahrain, Jordan, Lebanon, Palestine, and Canada. For the past two decades, he has been researching the ancient past of the Holy land.

His latest book is Hidden Histories: Palestine and the Eastern Mediterranean (2010).

The lecture will be held at the SCSC at Jaffa Gate in Old City.

Refreshments will be served from 4:30 pm.
